Well-known across the UK and US, Big Green Egg makes ceramic barbecues loved by celebrity chefs and backyard heroes alike. In Canada, however, the brand needed a unique approach to inspire BBQ enthusiasts.
The Big Green Egg is not just an industry standard, it’s a backyard icon. But to connect with a newer, younger audience, we had to create a unique digital experience while supporting valuable retail partners.

The ask.
With major retailers across the country selling their barbecues, Big Green Egg wanted an ecommerce experience that would reflect a refreshed, modern brand without affecting their retail partner sales. They had a rich history, but wanted to attract new audiences. Big Green Egg needed to raise awareness of their products and drive consumers to brick and mortar stores as well as build out their direct-to-consumer sales channel online.
The strategy.
HRVST helped Big Green Egg rebuild the brand for the Canadian market, highlighting uniquely Canadian moments that grillers know all too well. We created a fully custom, robust website on Shopify that drives customers to retail partners as well as direct-to-consumer sales online.
